I’m an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Journalism at City, University of London and was visiting professor at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) in 2017. I am a former Fulbright researcher, recipient of two Swiss NSF fellowships and visiting fellowship at the University of Oxford. My research encompasses several projects on global digital news innovations. From 2013-2018, I served as co-principal investigator on a 19-countries project on journalistic cultures and currently serve on the steering committee of the Global Journalism Risk Hub. In 2014, I published my dissertation, The Washington, DC Media Corps in the 21st Century (Palgrave, 2014) and served as co-editor of Journalistic Role Performance (Routledge, 2017). I am currently on the editorial board of Journalism Practice and International Communication Gazette.
